Dental Restoration in Guelph
Do you think you might have a cavity or have you cracked or damaged a tooth? Green Meadows Dental provides dental restoration services to repair teeth that are damaged by decay or injury. We also provide several options to replace missing teeth, including crowns, bridges, and dental implants. If one of your teeth needs to be restored, we’ll explain all your treatment options.
Decay can create a cavity in the enamel of your tooth and expose the vulnerable tissue beneath to infection or further decay. We use tooth-coloured fillings to repair the damage, restore your tooth, and prevent further decay.
Crowns are a common way to replace missing or broken-off teeth. These artificial teeth, made from ceramic or porcelain material, not only restore the appearance of your smile but they also keep your other teeth from shifting. Crowns are designed and shaded to match the rest of your teeth and are virtually unnoticeable when you smile.
Inlay & Onlays
If a tooth is too badly damaged to be restored with a filling but doesn’t require a crown we may recommend an inlay or an onlay to restore it. These restorations look like fillings, but they are produced in a dental laboratory and placed into the cavity in the damaged tooth. Once in place they strengthen and protect the tooth. Onlays are a special type of inlay that can restore the biting strength of the damaged tooth.
Along with crowns, bridges are another restoration for missing teeth. They are made of one or more artificial teeth, similar to crowns, that are attached to the natural teeth on either side of the gap left by the missing tooth. Bridges provide support to your natural teeth and keep them from shifting into the gap left by the missing tooth.
